Rendering Matthew 24:7 'earthquakes'
#2
Shlama distazo,

The word for 'earthquakes' can mean also mean the "stirring of ferment" according to Payne-Smith's Compendious but 'earthquakes' fits the context better where "famines and plagues" are also mentioned. The Aramaic idiom "b'Doka Doka" implies "various places" just as "anash anash" means "some of the people" in other Scriptures. I like it,though, when I see different people on the forum "thinking outside the box"! That's how a lot of nice discoveries are made sometimes. <!-- sSmile --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smile.gif" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><!-- sSmile -->
