Peshitta Transliterations
#2
Gentile Wrote:Transliterations into Latin characters are especially helpful when one wants to do translation work.

Anyone know of a Peshitta transliteration? Both Old Testament and New Testament? Please give the links if you have any.

Finally, I found a Peshitta in the 'Ashuri' square script [which most people mistakenly think is a 'Hebrew' script] which I reckon is easier to read than any of the other Aramaic scripts, including Estrangela. Anyone know of the Peshitta Old Testament in Ashuri Square Script anywhere?

Does Dean have one at his bookstore perhaps? <!-- s:lookround: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/lookround.gif" alt=":lookround:" title="Look Round" /><!-- s:lookround: -->

I'm working on using peshitta.com's SEDRAIII-based transliteration text with my Script Parsing Engine soon (as soon as I'm done with the main ~grumble grumble~ articles for the new AramaicNT.org site...). Then it can be displayed in any translitteration, or script desired.

As for the Peshitta OT, the only place I know where are scans of Codex Ambrosianus (in Estrangelo).
