Peshitta NT using Syro-Hexaplaris and Not Peshitta OT?

Hello Everyone,
It is interesting to note that Peshitta NT is using Syro Hexaplaris and not Peshitta Tanakh (a.k.a Ceriani Veteris Testamentum). Many scholars claim that Syro-Hexaplaris might be a translation of Septuagint due to the fact it agrees with septuagint. Scholars claim that Septuagint was translated from Hebrew.

But based on the evidences, we have evidences that Septuagint was translated from Aramaic.

We know that there are no Hebrew versions of Judith, 1 Maccabees, 2 Maccabees, 3 Maccabees, and 4 Maccabees. Only Greek (Septuagint and Aramaic version (Aramaic Peshitta Tanakh). We know that the spoken language during the time of Maccabean period (167 BC-142 BC) was Aramaic ("Caphenatha" in 1 Maccabees 12:37 of Septuagint). Let's also look into Book of Job.

Book "Targum and Testament Revisited: Aramaic Paraphrases of the Hebrew Bible" by Martin McNamara, Page 96 - In Septuagint manuscripts (Manuscripts- Aleph, A, B, and C), there is an epilogue in Book of Job which is introduced with the words: "houtos hermeneutai ek tes syriakes bibliou."

This means - "this was translated from the Syriac book."

In Book "Collected Studies on the Septuagint - From Language to Interpretation and Beyond" by Jan Joosten Pg. 214, we read Aramaic loan words in Septuagint.

In Page 214, Scholar Jan Joosten points out that the Aramaic word "Giora" was transliterated in Exodus 12:19 and Isaiah 7:14. In Syro Hexaplaris, Giora is mentioned in Isaiah 7:14. But not in Peshitta Tanakh. Unfortunately, I cannot research into Exodus 12:19, Ceriani's Hexaplaris version does not have Pentateuch. In a septuagint manuscript, Jan Joosten points out that Aramaic word "ptakra" is transliterated in Isaiah 8:21 and Isaiah 37:38.

Why is it that Septuagint has Aramaic words and not Hebrew? Unless Septuagint had an Aramaic source due to the fact Aramaic was the spoken language of Jews when Septuagint was written (as early as 300 BC).

So called Scholars claim that Peshitta NT is a translation of Greek and Syro Hexaplaris might be a translation of Greek Septuagint. We know that Greek NT is a translation of Peshitta NT. So isn't possible that Septuagint was a translation of Syro Hexaplaris or a version like Hexaplaris?

Here is Peshitta NT quoting Syro Hexaplaris. And Not Peshitta Tanakh. Special Thanks to IPostapyuk for providing most of the below information.

1) Dr. John W. Etheridge's English Peshitta translation:
Matthew 15:8 - This people with the lips honour me, but their heart (is) very far from me.
Matthew 15:9 - But in vain they reverence me, while they teach the doctrines of the commandments of men.

Masoretic:
Isaiah 29:13, "Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

Isaiah 29:13 (my attempt on translation of Peshitta Tanakh in Ceriani Veteris Testamentum) - "MarYA has said, the people have approached on with their mouth and with their lips, they have honored me. And their heart far from me and [so] was their reverence from me through the commandments and the doctrines of men."

Septuagint:
Isaiah 29:13, "And the Lord has said, This people draw nigh to me with their mouth, and they honour me with their lips; but their heart is far from me: but in vain do they worship me, teaching the commandments and doctrines of men."

Syro Hexaplaris: vainly they are worshipping me, while teaching the commands and doctrines of men.

Aramaic word for worshipping can also mean "fearing."

2) Dr. John W. Etheridge's English Peshitta translation:
Luke 4:18 - The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he hath anointed me to evangelize to the poor, And hath sent me to heal the contrite in heart, To proclaim to the captives release, And to the blind, vision, And to assure the contrite by remission,

Isaiah 61:1 (Complete Jewish Bible): "The Spirit of Adonai ELOHIM is upon me, because ADONAI has anointed me to announce good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted; to proclaim freedom to the captives, to let out into light those bound in the dark;"

Isaiah 61:1 (LXX) - The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me; he has sent me to preach glad tidings to the poor, to heal the broken in heart, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind;

Ceriani_Syro-Hexaplaris Ambrosianus:
Is. 61:1
mentions "...sight to the blind..."

Isaiah 61:1 (my attempt on translating Ceriani Veteris Testamentum) - The Spirit of MarYA Elaha has upon me on account of MarYa anointing me and has sent me to preach good news to the poor ones, and strengthen the brokenhearted ones, and to proclaim freedom to captives, and to release the prisoners."


3) Acts 15:17 - So that the men who remain may seek after the LORD, and also all the Gentiles upon whom my name is called; so said the LORD who does all these things.

Septuagint: Amos. 9:12 - that the remnant of men, and all the Gentiles upon
whom my name is called, may earnestly seek me, saith the Lord who does
all these things."

Amos 9:12 (My attempt on translating Syro Hexaplaris version) - "Likewise that the remains (or remnants) of Sons of Men will seek to MarYA, and all of those people who calls the name belonging to me; upon them said MarYA who is doing these things.

Aramaic word "Amma" can mean people or nation or gentiles.

Amos 9:12 (1917 JPS Tanakh Translation of Hebrew Masoretic Text) - "That they may possess the remnant of Edom, And all the nations, upon whom My name is called, Saith the LORD that doeth this."

Amos 9:12 (My attempt on translating this verse from Peshitta Tanakh) - "For they will possess the rest of Edom, and all of the people who are called over my name, says MarYA who does these things."

4) Matthew 12:21 - And in his name shall the gentiles hope.

Isaiah 42:4 (Masoretic Text): He will not grow faint and not be crushed until he has set judgment in the earth, and for his law the islands shall wait.

Ceriani_Veteris Testamentum (7a1) - the same as in Masoretic Text.

Septuagint: He will shine forth and not be broken until he has set judgment upon the earth, and upon his name nations will hope.

My attempt on translating Syro Hexaplaris version: Upon his name people shall hope.

As you know, Amma can mean people or nation or gentiles.
