Repair or prepare?
#1
In Mark 1:19 and Matthew 4:21 we find two ocurrances, where Yaqub and Yuchanan were in the boat, when Yeshu invited them to join him.

Historically and traditionally, they were 'repairing' their fish nets. However, the used verb here, in most cases, except for Galatians 6:1, means 'prepare' or 'establish'.

Since we always deal with 'translations', such as the Greek, we tend to accept the 'default' translation and even dictionaries, are often derived from the accepted translations, which circularly would justify a wrong future translation of certain Aramaic words.

But I found this remarkable fact; Fishermen do not repair fishnets in their boats. If they do, they do it at a spot on the wall, where there is enough space. Fisherman would organize fishnets in their boats, to prepare for the next job.

So, what about this translation? Prepare the nets? (B.t.w. Etherdidge, has chosen to render this one time as 'prepare their nets', in Mark 1:19)
