where was the service filmed?

Dear all,

In the first episode of "A History of Christianity", a series currently shown on BBC4, the CoE is mentioned

The episode is available to view on BBC iPlayer at :
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00nrtr8/A_History_of_Christianity_The_First_Christianity/">http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... istianity/</a><!-- m -->
(access to this may be limited from some parts of the world)

At minute 43 parts of a service in one of the COE churches in Iraq are shown.

I was wondering if you can identify the church ?

With peace and blessings,
Jerzy

Dear Jerzy, the video is not accessible here in the states. Any chance you can upload it somewhere?

I'm sorry, it has expired in the UK as well. The iPlayer site stores TV programmes for a limited period of time only and I have not downloaded a copy for myself.

Maybe, if someone has the courage they could approach the story teller directly ... <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.stx.ox.ac.uk/general/fellows/macculloch_diarmaid">http://www.stx.ox.ac.uk/general/fellows ... h_diarmaid</a><!-- m --> .

I enjoyed watching the series. It was like walking around a museum with a good guide. Opinionated guide? Of course, we like those. Obviously there is no way you can learn history in the museum or from the TV series but it was thought provoking and refreshing.

Anyway, I will ask around if any of my friends have a recording of the relevant part, and if they do I will check how I can share it somehow without breaching any copyrights.
