Church of the East Congregation in Montreal?
#2
shlomo Rafa,

The Maronite liturgy in Montreal is celebrated mostly in Arabic, with about 5 prayers said in Aramaic. (On www.beith-morounoye.org we have the Marronite liturgy said in Aramaic if you want to hear it.)
We use to have an initiative that taught Syriac in Montreal, and that ended around 2002. Check the universities, maybe one of them might be teaching the language.

The Syriac Orthodox have a school there that might be teaching Syriac, and 80% of their liturgy is said in Aramaic, as well the Syriac Catholic also say a good part of their liturgy in Syriac.

Churches in Montreal:
Maronite => http://www.cathedralestmaron.org/
Syriac Orthodox => http://www.syrianorthodoxchurch.com/
Syriac Catholic => Saint Ephrem parish, 3000 Edouard-Montpetit, Laval

I hope this help!

bashlomo,
keefa-morun
