I'm finally learning Old Assyrian. Yay.

Years ago, I wanted to learn it, but all the books I saw on Amazon used the western script, and I didn't have a teacher at the time, but at the same time I found an excellant teacher of Hebrew. So I've been learning that for years. Now I've found an Assyrian Grammar book in the eastern script, which has made me very happy.

PSS - it's Aramaic, not Assyrian. The Assyrian language was actually Akkadian, now extinct as a spoken tongue. It may be loosely referred to as Assyrian since modern Assyrians are the largest grouping that still speak it, but technically it's Aramaic.
