If possible, translation please...

graysketch23 Wrote:Hello everyone!! My name is Mauro. I know, I know... you guys probably get "translation requests" constantly! I'm getting a tattoo on thursday on my ribcage and it's a really nice ribbon, I want it to read "Father, into your hands I commend my spirit" in the western dialect of aramaic (which is what I've read was the language of Jesus, correcty if I'm wrong). I'm hoping also, that someone can tell me how to pronounce the words. I greatly appreciate everyone for taking the time to read this and any help that can potentially be offered. Thank you! God bless!

Shlama Mauro,

Yip we get lot's of translation requests for tatoos, it's actually become a running joke here . Since most of us are not supportive of tatoos, I'm gonna instead direct you to Steve Caruso's blog, contact him, he's the expert with Aramaic tatoos: http://aramaicdesigns.blogspot.com/

Hey akhan Paul, perhaps you should make a post to refer to Steve's blog for tatoo requests since we get so many of them.
Shalom, Shlama, Salaam & Yiasou.
