When they recovered Hebrew in about 1949 year, they took the Tanach Hebrew as their base
as much as I know. Of course, modern words they invented like radio etc.
Paleo Hebrew letters as it is said were the letters of Israel. I believe they were letters of Canaan. If they found some calendar in these letters on the territory of Israel, it does not mean that these script belonged only to Israel to call it Paleo Hebrew script.
I do not believe much to official history for it is twisted.
Matthew 28:11-15 conveys, "While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, telling them, 'You are to say, 'His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.' If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.' So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day."
It is an example of how the strong of this world twist history and make it official.
I do not know any good proof that Tanach was written in Hebrew.
There are a lot of debates of how and when the Hebrew language originated and
nobody knows for sure. Personally I prefer more to archaeology and manuscripts.
