What you all need to understand is that Rabbi Moshe K PUBLICLY assumed I would support him and proclaimed the Peshitta NT agreed with his position and that I would agree. In so doing, he committed lashon hara against me and he attempted to defile the holy text. Then, when I called it perversion (this is before I knew he believed this manure but was asking for "guidance") he never told the countless folks on his list that I rebuked his position. Again I rebuked his position without knowing that I was going against him, but that's just too ___-ing bad. (Do you get the feeling I am just a bit passionate about this matter?)
I have been so embarassed and angry that I did NOT want to address this. I thought that I was dignifying that which was without basis. However, Moshe K's actions left me no choice. The last straw was when acquaintances began emailing me asking why I was in favor of this doctrine. They thought I was on board with him because he said he would seek me out but he never published the outcome. So therefore I had to publicaly say what he would not, and I may not be done on that score yet either. We will see where the Ruach leads, but it may fall to me to further destroy this and if so, trust me, I will.
This is a grievous matter for two huge reasons. First this is SALVATION SPECIFIC to Jewish and Christian communities of faith. This is a TOP TEN COMMANDMENT and not a minor interpretive thing like how to tie tzit-tzit, etc.
Second, and equally important, Moshe K said the Peshitta supported him. Now I know the theological limitations of this forum and beyond these considerations I do try to be tolerant of different viewpoints, but where I draw the line is when said difference is attached to the holy Peshitta. People can believe what they like so long as they don't cloak their heresy in my text, because if they do, like Akhan Paul or anyone else who feels as we do, I will defend this Scripture by any and all means necessary.
Dialogue yes.
Compromise--NO.
