It should be better to translate it like Murdock did
Let no one therefore disquiet you about food and drink...

This is in harmony with Galatians 5:7 where the same word is used, it is not 'judge' but 'trouble'.
The trouble was brought by converted Pharizees, who teached other converts (In Galatia e.g.) to keep the law and other Thora law.
