In Yukhanan 8:23 (Aramaic version, v. 34 in Western) Meshikha uses a play on words:
"Everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin"
Only in the original Aramaic is the play on the root ( [font=Estrangelo (V1.1)]db9[/font] , Abed) apparent:
(1) Abed = "to do, commit"
(2) Abada = "slave"
