In the Peshitta (and all Greek manuscripts OTHER than Bezae), Yukhanan directly asks the question about Yeshua.

In Old Scratch, we read the following:

[font=Estrangelo (V1.1)]hl wrm0w (w4y twl wlz Jwhl rm0w[/font]

In Old Scratch, Yukhanan says:

(1) go to Yeshua, and
(2) ask him the question.

In the Greek text of Codex Bezae, we read with astonishment:

os kai proskalesamenos dyo twn mathetwn autou legei poreuthentes eipate autou: su ei o erchomenos

They sure _are_ related, Akhi Paul... This is just one out of hundreds of such agreements. And, of course, from my perspective, this is a good thing, because this constitutes further evidence that both SyS and Bezae represent a very ancient and well established textual tradition.
