They both sound like old style Lebanese music, mostly used for the slow Dabke. The first file, which uses an instrument called the 'ud (one of my favorite instrument), starts out like a Zajal, and then proceeds to the slow Dabke.

Todays music has changed to be a mix of Western and Lebanese music, which is shifting away from the traditional sounds. :)
