Thanks for the link -- here is what it said:

When aspirated, the letter B??ith is pronounced as the letter W.

Bishop J.E. Manna mentioned, in his dictionary on page 47, that this letter, when aspirated, was pronounced as the letter V; but later the pronunciation of the aspirated letter was modified and eventually became as the letter W.
