Conder/Aramaic debate commentary
#16
Whatever...

what have we been doing for the past few days? Challenging Conder to a debate on Aramaic primacy, an issue he touches on his website and should be ready to defend. We went straight to him, to imply otherwise makes you a liar.

And besides. I will debate Conder, God willing, in December, so we can forget all this crap for now. So stop talking trash or get off this forum. You have no need to be here. This is a God-given forum for studying the Peshitta, not for mudslinging and not for "he said, you said, I said" etc

As for me, naa you guys can keep him. I would rather wait till the end and laugh.

"Why do you just sit here and post insults instead of being MEN by going directly to the source?"

Oh what a womanly thing to say. I'm more of a man if i argue with someone,...how lame. LOL

You wasted that one on someone who isn't insecure. You choose unwisely weedhopper.

I can see what Chris is talking about. How the Greek translation is corrupted in many points and how it gives weight to the antagonistic crowd with it's mistakes.

Look at the guilt from these folks, how one attempts to hold it over someone. Amazing huh. One guilt trip after another attempted upon anyone possible to gain some sort of an angle. Pitifull.

I think they are used to the Greek crowd being so desirous to get them back in the fold. Soon the good old King James won't be at their disposal, just a matter of time.

I'm not sure of exactly all of the translations they were using. King James of course, but i think the beachmaster guy was using others that had mistakes in it to support his arguements.

What I'm doing at the moment is comparing the Peshitta NT against the different translations out there. I'm trying to pay attention to the differences you guys point out throughout your translation as you complete it. It's a little harder for me since I only read english, but it's a joy to see the correctness of the word come through the Peshitta.

It's sad that GOD had to make due with the current crop of translations all these years. I feel mankind/satan has a strangle hold on the translation/publishing process as it is.

Things are gonna change. Matter of time.
