Aramaic Gospel of Matthew {Audio}
#7
I tried to read the 1st English New Testament made by John Wycliffe back in the 1300's, which was translated from St. Jerome's Latin Vulgate text translation from the Greek version, and it is nearly impossible to understand relative to modern English.

I think I read somewhere recently that the modern Assyrian dialect used by those Assyrian peoples of The Church of the East, that they speak and write today was developed sometime in late 1700's to early 1800's, and that before that time it was always the same as is given in The Peshitta Scriptures. I might have heard that wrong though.

Borota, are you able to read fluently straight from the Aramaic found in the Peshitta text, with the eastern pronunciations?
