What is Peshitta
#2
TruthFinder Wrote:When one refers to the "Peshitta" is this the New Testament, the Old Testament, or the Old and New Testament?

TF

Both traditionally and conventionally speaking, the "Peshitta" refers to both the New and Old Testaments in the Syriac tradition that rose to prominence ultimately by the 5th century.

Some people refer to the Peshitta Old Testament as "The Peshitta Tanakh" and the Peshitta New Testament as "The Aramaic New Testament" in some contexts, but these are more recent developments and are not widely accepted.
