Hi,
I just had a general question, how do you say "I love you" in aramaic? And also the phrase "Love one another, just as I have loved you"? from John 15:12.
thanks,

John

Hi John

In the phrase you want translated, what is the gender and number on both sides of the verb?

Also, another important thing to consider is which dialect you're after. Many of the modern Aramaic dialects, for example, are quite distinct and vary greatly in spelling and pronunciation.

shalam.

I love you would be in syriac (peshitta's dialect)

raHem 'na lakh (you- boy)
raHem 'na lekh (you-girl)

And Love one another, just as I have loved you is

teHbon Had lHad, 'aykana dena 'aHevtkhon
(the Syllabification: teH-bon Had lHad , 'ay-ka-na de-na 'a-Hevth-khon)

H = Het pronunced in some dialect kh (like the Jota in Spanish)
