The secret pharisee is Caesar
#1
Matthew 22:17-21, ?Tell us, therefore, how does it seem to you? Is it lawful to give the head tax to Caesar or not. Now, Yahshua knew their evil and said, ?Why do you tempt me hypocrites? Show me the denarius of the head tax.? And they brought to him a denarius. And Yahshua said to them, ?Whose is this image and inscription?? They said, ?Caesar?s?. He said to them, ?Give, therefore of Caesar to Caesar, and of Alha to Alha.??

In the Peshitta, notice the phrase ?head tax? is ksprSha (kaph-samech-pey-resh-shin-aleph). So an alternate translation or wordplay is ?secret Pharisee?. The Pharisees are either asking if they should give themselves to Caesar, or else acknowledging Caesar?s priestly authority above them. This is particularly significant because, under Roman law, Caesar was the official head priest of Rome, PONTIFEX MAXIMUS.

As for the ?secret? here, I think it?s complex - look to Yahshua?s question, ?Whose is this image and inscription?? The Aramaic word for ?image? is zlma, which is another way to refer to crucifixion.
