I do disagree to this. This is a guessing, not a proof.

I live in USA for about 16 years and still far from being perfect in English although I knew English while still being in Ukraine.
If I were to write to an English church that I founded and care a lot to let them know what I want to tell them.
I would write it in my native Ukrainian language expressing my deep thoughts and then tell to my fluently bilingual friend: See, translate it into English to make it perfect and correct and if you have any questions I am here to answer and then we send to the church because I want them to know exactly what I mean.
Let us look at the textual research not a relative guessings.
