Did the Virgin Mary sin or not ?

Shlama Akhi Rafa,

That would be a question reserved for God, not the CoE, if it were any of our business. The CoE has no formal declaration on this most trivial of topics... =)

One thing you'll notice about the CoE is that there's very little defined dogma. That's not unintentional. We don't bother to attempt to define every little detail that's unimportant, which seems to be the tendency in some other branches of the Church. We'd rather not get involved in such silliness. This is precisely what caused Ephesus, and every other calamity that the western church brought upon the faith. Grown men debating about how many angels can fit on the head of a pin....

What is it with the west and its insistence on defining everything to the subatomic level?

Good thing for a scientific mind, bad for spirituality. Sometimes it's ok to say I don't know, and more importantly who cares?

some things we need to know!!! like, just how big a pin are we talking about?? is it human sized or angel sized, and also, are we talking about the freaky Cherubim or the man-lookin' angels - cause i'm sure that probably has a bearing on how many can perform this fancy footwork in the first place. i'd also like to know if God likes a little rock n roll, or if He is more into polka? somebody PLEASE call another council!!

seriously, it's nice to know the COE doesn't micromanage faith -- heck i'm still scratching my head over the big things as it is.... tho my Hebrew side keeps peeking over at that pesky pin....
