I have a question to any one that can answer this I am just learning aramaic, I am doing a study called Classical Aramaic, by Rocco A. Enrico and when he gets to the letter Heth H, he says that it is pronounced as a hard H, almost doubled in sound HH.

But on my Learn Assyrian online study they pronounce it Khet representing the Kh sound... I am confused its it both which are right???? please clear up!!! Lupe

Shlama Lupe,

You might want to take a look at <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heth">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heth</a><!-- m -->.

That being said, I hear Errico's "Classical Aramaic" is only good for learning the alphabet and not much else (grammar-wise)...
