Dear Paul,

Wasn't Mar Narsai called "The Harp of the Spirit"?

That's him. Great writer from the 5th century.

Did these download OK or did they take forever? They're high-quality scans of the original books.

Dear Paul,

It took about 5 minutes to download on our I-Mac G-5.

However, the first 13 PAGES are BLANK.

The first page that I CAN ACTUALLY READ says:

"In 1905 Father Alphonsous Mingana............."

Should it be like this?

Everything else that I've downloaded from Peshitta.org works fine, but there must be something on the first 13 pages too.

What do you think?

Thanks for considering this.

Shlama, Albion

P.S. Paul, maybe I should just trash this download, and try to download this again when the enemy's minion is asleep, and there is less "interference".

No, that's ok - for some reason there were a bunch of apparently intended blank pages in the book. Weird. But these old books are priceless.

Shlama Paul,

I really appreciate these documents. Thank you for uploading them. As I continue to rediscover my own heritage it's a blessing to have books such as these. I can't express in words how much this means to me personally. Thank you. <!-- sSmile --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smile.gif" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><!-- sSmile -->

I'll have to try to download tonight. I have a slow connection.
