New Book: Tanakh plus Peshitta combined!!
#5
The source for the NT comes from my earlier work on getting the Aramaic Peshitta in Hebrew letters with vowels as a database in BibleWorks, which was mentioned some time ago on this forum. The source of that text was from a web archive from <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.peshitta.org">http://www.peshitta.org</a><!-- w -->, so it is a reliable text!
You can read a bit more about getting the Aramaic Peshitta text into BibleWorks at:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://bibleworks.oldinthenew.org/2007_07_01_archive.html">http://bibleworks.oldinthenew.org/2007_ ... chive.html</a><!-- m -->
This book is NOT an interlinear - the text is only in Hebrew and Aramaic, and you will need to be comfortable reading those languages in 'Hebrew' square letters in order to enjoy the book. If there is enough demand, I might produce an interlinear of the Peshitta in a similar format. However, if you want an interlinear, you should at least look at Rev. David Bauscher's work, which is available on Lulu, and which has been discussed in this forum. I have all his books, and I can recommend them. <!-- sConfusedatisfied: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/satisfied.gif" alt="Confusedatisfied:" title="Satisfied" /><!-- sConfusedatisfied: -->
If you like the format of my book but you ONLY want the Peshitta, I could make a version of that available on Lulu, if there is a demand. It is nice to have the Peshitta available as a printed book in 'Hebrew' square letters with vowels, because generally people are more familiar with that script.
Let me know what you would like to see in book or download form on Lulu, and I will see what I can do.
