strange request
#1
My name is Miche, I am a moderator of another Christian forum ( http://www.christian-forum.net )

One of the members asked me to help him discover the meaning of the words he has been hearing on a daily basis . Two of the words were

"Maran Eeshoa"

It is in my research that I found this forum.

I was wondering if someone would help me translate the "message" entirely?

After praying about it.... I began to think that this so called audible message is probably from the enemy because God speaks to His people through His word. But the name of Jesus is in the message..... so maybe it is something.
I appreciate any help you can give me. The words are spelled the way they sounded to this man, so they may not be correct. I will cut and paste his letter to me here...... ( I know this is bizzare)

Quote:Hi Miche,

First of all I will try and spell it to the best of my ability..

It starts with a powerful voice...slootah maran eeshoa moosheeka

Avvon, or Avoon

DEbish, d'bish, dabish

maya, maiya, or mya

something then kaddash, or qaddash. I can almost see the words.

shimukh

teyteh malchotook niway civyanakh

ay chana d'bish, or debish, or dabish maya, or maiya, or my

at the end it say lalam almein aameen

but there is more to it. I am really trying to keep all these words by remembering.

I have heard theser almost every night for about a month, or since the anniversary of my dad's death on 12/11.

I hope you have luck with this cause I am really curious, but some of the words sound just like hebrew when you make that kkkk sounds at the end.

Thanks,
Good luck, I'll have more soon I am sure!
God bless
Jeep

Thank you for your help.

Your sister in Christ,
Miche
Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER- and all the more as you see the DAY approaching.

Hi Miche,

Welcome to this forum!

That is our Lord Jesus Christ's prayer in the original Aramaic.

You can find out more here :

or look for Paul Younan's translation of the Lord's Prayer at this site.

Shushan (a member of this forum) made this wonderful animation of the Lord's Prayer :

I don't understand the part where you said that it might be from the enemy. Where did your friend heard this prayer?

Peace be with you,

He has been apparently hearing it audibly on a daily basis. My concern is ...........
Why audibly????? and Why in a foreign tongue? God gave us His word. Why would he need to speak it audibly?

I am one to "test all things" please forgive my doubt. I have seen too often , people of God being duped, thinking something was of the LOrd Jesus Christ, when in fact it was a trick of the enemy.

Please feel free to respond. I am a sinner saved by grace.... not perfect by any means.

Miche, perhaps a move of the Spirit is happening in Aramaic. At a large, local Assembly of God church during the past two weeks a very good friend of mine told me that people spoke in tongues which sounded like Aramaic. Certainly at least part of it was in Aramaic as they included these famous words: Eil, Eil lmana shwaqthani.

Greetings Miche,

"Maran Eesho" is aramaic for "Our Lord Jesus"

The rest of what was heard is basically the "Lords Prayer" in Aramaic.

take care,

Dean
