An interesting variant from the OS
Paul and Forum:
Can someone explain the grammatical difference between hrbg as found only in Matthew 1:16 and 0rbg found everywhere else in the Peshitta.

Hello Dave ,

Your positions on the Matthew genealogy are relatively unimportant. Your position on the word of God is most important and very telling , as stated in your own words following:

Dave Wrote:???Wayne, that very well may be, and I can easily admit wrong on that marriage part, but then I still have this being pointed out to me from The Lord as not belonging there. Since I provide the arbitrary aspect in this (which really is ok with me, I'm starting to see the advantages of that position), my direction has to come from above on it. No matter what any language says, If HE is not happy with it, then it is wrong. The LORD continues to be my witness, I'm not gonna say HE is wrong either.???

That is purely subjective authority and theology. It does not matter what the word of God says, (whatever the language is) you will accept only what God says to you.
You would know nothing about the Holy Spirit , Jesus , God or salvation without the scriptures. How can you then make the statement quoted above?
This is the stuff of which every cult is made. If you don???t care what ???any language??? says, what is your purpose in this forum ? What is your authority for any belief you have ? What is your foundation of life and the hope of your eternal welfare ?
Are we supposed to listen to what you say The Holy Spirit says to you ? Are you saying that each of us should not or could not listen to The Holy Spirit for ourselves ?

Will The Holy Spirit disregard what He has already said in the scriptures, or has He let it perish so that we must use a divining rod ,as you seem to do, in order to find the true reading ? - ???Here it is, dig here. The Spirit says this is the spot .???
That smacks more of witchcraft than the word of God.
Another quote from you:
Quote:???There are no footnotes to make HIS people have to choose a text or become undecided about which language a word came from. THE biggest trait, is that it has no complete affiliation with any single language, except english. That is a major trait. Why? Because now one does not have to worry about language word studies, and people are unable to promote their cultures or themselves through HIS word anymore.???

We don???t need the languages; we don???t need scholarship; all we need is English ?

How did we get the English Bible ?
Whose text are you talking about, James Trimm???s ? Sounds like he???s your Pope, now.

James Trimm is a fraud. He is also an opportunist who makes a living on the gullible who don???t know enough Hebrew and Aramaic to see that he is a fraud.
You owe it to yourself, Dave, to study the languages you say are unimportant. They gave you the English Bible and the Christian tradition you embrace.

I believe you have an honest and sincerely good heart & a very intelligent mind.

Stop putting off the inevitable and start the hard work that will give you the rewards of reading the words The Holy actually spoke and the words our Lord actually spoke, living by them and showing them to the world.

I believe you told Paul you would learn Aramaic. Your understanding will change as you do.

Blessings in The Spirit of Truth,

Dave B
Shlama Stephen,

hrbg is the construct form of the emphatic form -0rbg.
The emphatic is the regular stand alone form and can be singular or plural-("the man" , "the men"). Seyeme points (..) can distinguish between sing. & plural. An attending verb may also do so.

The construct is usually possessive and used with an h- ending followed by a dalet proclitic "d", meaning ,"of" attached to the following noun:
Myrmd hrbg -"the guardian of Mariam".

0rbg occurs about 300 times in The Peshitta NT in various forms;
hrbg does occur only once. It means "the man of" , or "the guardian of".

Dave B
Shlama Akhay,

As a follow-up to Akhan Dave B.'s great explanation:

Akhi Steven - the "-ah" h suffix indicates the 3rd-person feminine singular possessive. 0rbg "gawra" (man, husband, head of household) becomes hrbg "gawrah" (her man, her husband, her head of household)

See lesson 97 on for a complete treatment of the topic.

I feel that was a "from the heart" talk. I have a great respect for that.

For you guys on here who study this on a regular basis, it's an enjoyment that goes beyond mere words for you, everyday. For the folks that just want to read the scriptures and be about the work of The Lord,... learning aramaic, hebrew, and such things are a sidetrack to what they are being shown to do. If every person is required to learn aramaic, hebrew, and greek beforehand to be "truley" approved by The Lord, then GOD is loosing great amounts of time here. GOD has never needed this to be locked out from any of HIS children at any time, yet it seems as such on here at times.

I don't mean to indicate that your time and effort you put here is just useless, on the contrary, I have learned many things, especially from Paul and you Dave. Great things I might add!

I'm definetely not trying to be funny here either, I'm quite serious. The problem that I have with the genealogy thing is not my own either, just so you know. From this site, this manmade doctrine is being promoted as truth and The Holy Spirit is not in agreement with it, yet we are learned men on here with the language of The Lord at our disposal??!?!

I see The Holy Spirit lashing out at folks on here, so something is wrong. What I need to do is just continue on with what HE has for me to do instead of worrying about what you guys are up to here. Just be done with it. He's already witnessing how HE wants things to be, so I just need be about HIS business and pay attention to HIM instead of bothering you guys. What it will come down to is this, if I am correctly following HIM in all of this, it will be blessed beyond recognition, no matter what anyone has to say about it. That has been HIS way of doing things forever. In the face of redicule also. If I was wrong and incorrectly interpreted HIS leading, then my offering will be unacceptable.

1 Corinthians 1:27-29

"But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; And the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are: That no flesh should glory in His Presence."

That's always been HIS way. I just need to be about HIS things and leave you guys be. I've learned what GOD wanted me to learn from here, now it's time to move on instead of badgering any of you and picking fights.
Akhi Dave,

If God wants you to leave this place because it is under judgement, by all means why are you disobeying Him when He has more important things for you to do?

Go if you will be missed. But you'd better be sure never to come back - because if I see your IP address in the server logs again, I will expose your lie. <!-- sSmile --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smile.gif" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><!-- sSmile -->
