The pronunciation is Western: Mshicho instead of Mshicha, qadisho, etc. The text is definitely not Peshitta!

Related to this: I am working on getting out a Peshitta web app (based on sedra 3 which is now available from https://sedra.bethmardutho.org/about/resources), with some of these goals in mind:
1) Display Eastern text (sedra 3 is based on UBS, western text) in the beautiful Estrangela font available from this site. Browsers these days can display a custom font even if not installed on user's machine.
2) Highlight the word the cursor is on! This could be used by somebody with native speaking skills to record audio and at the same time also highlight the word being pronounced.
3) Embed the whole app into one single web app file. As such you could view the text while on the go without Internet connection being needed. Also the app should be view-able on phones, etc.
I have bits of work already locally, I am very excited about results. The whole SEDRA 3 brought over to the browser as Javascript is about 2MB only. Once in Javascript format, you could search/filter easily, sky is the limit to what you could do with this. This is what I have public as of now: https://github.com/peshitta
