Just a general AENT update, the 5th edition has been discontinued as indicated on their website,

Long story short, there was a falling out of sorts shortly after the 5th edition was published that was never properly rectified (despite efforts by Andrew). However, in early 2017 Andrew said,
"I am working on a new translation to not only correct the issues in the AENT (Aramaic English New Testament) but also to add material that I did not have access to when I was translating for the AENT. I will be looking for a new publisher and will at that time have an electronic version of my work some time in 2018."
Although this never came about in 2018, it will be very interesting to see what he does eventually replace the AENT with. Chances are though that it'll be the same theologically slanted work, and who knows how much of an original translation it'll be this time around.
Just more reminders about why we need an officially translated and published Church of the East version that's in line with Holy tradition. But at the same time, I know it's important to keep the Aramaic language and cultural identity alive, and I'm not sure how much evangelizing they want to do out here in the west (because creating a translated version similar to The Orthodox Study Bible would be a great evangelism tool considering how much we love our study bibles over here, and also there is a renewed interest in the ancient churches as all the reformation churches are becoming more and more liberal). Anyway, this reminds me, it will be nice to have a printed version of https://www.thearamaicscriptures.com/ at some point!
