one i'm wondering about is SHAQAPH in Hebrew = "hang," while ZAQAPH in Aramaic = "hang / crucify."
[EDIT] never mind - just realized ZAQAPH is in Hebrew, as well. so no true cognate, i guess [EDIT]
i'm trying to find any repeated instances of such cognate terms with like-morphing letters.
the above interested me because the noun version of the Hebrew SHAQAPH is MASHQOPH, meaning "lintel," - the place where the blood of the lamb was to be applied at the first Passover. the link between the Hebrew for "lintel" and the Aramaic for "crucify" struck me as profound for obvious reasons.
