Elmwood Cemetery Estrangelo Text Monuments
I pass almost daily by Elmwood Cemetery, near Chicago. Every time I can't but notices the many funeral monuments with Estrangelo writings on them and names like Younan, Yonan, Yohanna, Younia, Malek, etc.
As far as I know there are no Assyrian communities in the area though.
So today I finally took the time to look into this matter. Google search directed me to this article:
The article, besides solving my puzzle, provides a short history of the Assyrian communities in Chicago land area. Fascinating! I recommend it as good, informative read to anybody interested.

P.S. By the way, if anybody does know of Assyrian families in the area, do let me know.
