The appearance and description of the Bible matches one that I have. It is written in the Eastern / Madn?????y?? script, also often inaccurately referred to as the Nestorian script.
I really like this Peshitta edition. Only problem I have with it is the size, I wish it would have been a little bigger, but then again its size makes it easy to carry with you :-)

ah, thank you very much! <!-- s:biggrin: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/biggrin.gif" alt=":biggrin:" title="Big Grin" /><!-- s:biggrin: --> so for the size, are we talking something akin to "the little red book" Peshitta? that's the one i have, as well as the much larger Peshitto offered for free at <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.torahwellsprings.org">www.torahwellsprings.org</a><!-- w -->, so i was looking for something in-between in size with a script i am familiar with.
perhaps i'll just have to wait for Mari!
