Hebrews 7:18
#3
Thanks Dave. I appreciate your helpful reply.

I was reading that the word comes from a Hebrew root (chalaph) that means "change, transform, renew or revive" as in Job 29:20 and Isaiah 40:31 and Isaiah 41:1.

Admittedly, the Hebrew root normally means change, but could these other thoughts be at the root of its meaning (since the Master said that there would be no change in the Torah as long as there was an earth and heaven -- Matthew 5:17 and 18), rather than merely change, variation, difference, or transformation?

Whattya' think?

Kindly,

Stephen
