Spanish Peshitta Interlinear
#3
Hi Dan,

I think it is wonderful if you do that. I see many projects in the future of translating Peshitta directly (Paul for English Johanan for Spanish) and others doing indirectly (through English first, like the proposed Portuguese and Chinese projects). It is exciting times As I said, the Peshitta NT need not have been written in a "global language", (like Greek) just like the OT was not written in a global language even though it is given to ALL of us for doctrine, correction, reproof etc

As for commentary, I think that is a pipe dream We all have so many different ideas and churches. Only a few are really knowledgable of Aramaic like Paul, and how can one trust a commentary to be unbiased if it comes from people of all different religions? I think the biggest source of honesty (unbias) would be among those who have no religion, who just try to live off the Bible and strive to learn what it really teaches.
