Spanish Peshitta Interlinear
#2
Hi Chris,

I read about this in Yahoo group where you asked Jing about doing a Chinese translation of Peshitta. You are right that so far only Aramaic and English speakers can benefit of the superior Aramaic Peshitta.

I hope one day I can do a translation of Peshitta in Malay language and Bahasa Indonesia. The Arabic "Allah" in Malay & Indonesian Alkitab will definitely be replaced by the Aramaic "ALAHA" and the Malay & Indonesian TUHAN replaced by YHWH. I have this idea more than 10 years ago when I started to learn New Testament Greek. I disagree with Malaysian & Indonesian Bible Societies' choice of word. Why use "Allah" instead of "Alaha"? This is a forgotten idea of mine.

How about all of us believers collaborate on a commentary of the New Testament based on the Aramaic? Is there any English commentary out there that is based on Aramaic Peshitta?

Shlama,

Dan
