Modern Hebrew-speakers pronounce "Joshua" as "Yeshua". Modern Aramaic-speakers have a couple of different ways of pronouncing it - "Yeshu" (some Aramaic communities in Turkey, Lebanon and Syria) and "Eeshu" (Syria, Iraq, Iran.)
