Aramaic evidence linguistics - the result
#1
I don't know if people are enjoying the articles from my website, but I can comment on people I gave them to personally.

2 were interested to receive it and a third has already accepted Peshitta primacy

I think it's worth it just for that one dude

Shlama Akhi Chris,

That's some mighty good news!
I remember a reply I got when I tried to introduce a few pointers and some good websites related to Aramaic studies on a certain forum...."No thanks...I'll stick with the Greek!"

"No thanks, I'll stick with the diluted copy that has only undergone several centuries of corruption and copyist errors. The trinity verse we inserted is pretty schmick too! It's great, you can add whatever you want to this thing!"

I would take 1 like you guys over a million like them in a heartbeat. This isn't about numbers - remember Gideon.

Our position is similar to theirs, we have an enemy far too strong for us to overcome. Yet God chose us, knowing our weaknesses, in order to confound the strong (I Corinthians 1:27).

God will fight our battle for us.

He surely does fight for us, as He did for the Israelis by slaughtering 185,000 of our countrymen

""Yet God chose us, knowing our weaknesses, in order to confound the strong""

The same Paul Younan who when I said "you are doing the Lord's work" replied "God doesn't use sinners like me"

God Bless you Paul!

btw I sent p&wp to you again, you should definitely have it now

I enjoyed them Chris. I think they will be quite helpful to me as I work on the text. Just in their ability to uncover some truths and clarify, more than justifies the work.

One area I think many overlook here, and all of you should reflect on this; for a diluted piece of crap, the King James has won more souls for the Lord than any bible to date. In fact, there is no way to know how many were added to His kingdom over the years or how much blood was spilt down through the ages defending it.

Ultimately,.....our work should add in the area that the Lord left as his example to us, somehow and someway.

I know you guys are into your primacy this and that on here, but what are your plans with this? Serious,...

Are you gonna take this info you have collected and utilize it for a furtherment, or just be at odds with the "other" crowd(s) all the time. I'm serious here, what is the vision? Or is this as far as it gets?

Food for thought and discussion.

Of course good has resulted from the KJV. But much schism in the Church also, with mistranslation of Hebrews 4:9 (among others) and teh Comma Johanneum etc

Bibel version DOES matter no matter how you look at it. The original is always the best. Look at the NIV! In at least two ways, it calls Jesus, Lucifer.

I guess these guys plan with this primacy issue is to give people the true Bible - a great mission indeed. For the rest I do not know.

Personally, I want to use this to uncover (and later preach) great doctrinal truths that have been lost over time, such as "Jesus is God", "Sabbath - it was according to Hebrews 4 and Acts, still important for early Christians", "agape/phileo - 2 loves - a false doctrine as Paul Younan so greatly showed" and "homosexuality". from the Greek it is not entirely clear that homosexuality is forbidden in NT as arsekenatoi can just mean homosexual temple prostitute or somesuch. I do not know yet, but I think the Peshitta will be more clear on the issue of homosexuality, forbidding it period.

Is this so Paul?

Anyway, don't get too comfy, one on poetry is up very soon, and another on idioms is already finished too, as well as some more in the November-February period

Before I forget, it is also important for apologetics, as the Greek contradictions have lost many their faith, and personal growth. I want to do a massive study on the Law, what laws we do and do not have to do etc as I am still unsure. The only ones I am fully 100% sure are the 10 Commandments as all are re-iterated in the NT, and the "holding of sacrifices" as said in Ezekiel. But the rest I will have to take a lot of time and study it fervently, trying to picture the early Christians, many of which were law abiding Judeans. I am glad I will be able to do this study with the aid of the original!

If your making an Idiom collection, I would be quite interested in that. I'll keep an eye out for it. Only ones i knew that put together anything on it was Lamsa (maybe others, not sure). I'm sure they would be of use in clarifying text.

I'm glad your looking down the road with your work Chris. Would like to see it utilized for good, especially in clarifying passages that are obscure.

Only side I'm on is truth. If I find it here then cool. If i find it in the Old latin, then that's cool also, etc. For me I can honestly say i hold no language bias whatsoever, unless you count english, but that is the only one i know.

It's interesting to see how GOD worked to bring about the word for us. How many people throughout the ages asserted their influence in the text and GOD made a way to get the truths to us still.

Imagine studying the genius of Shakespeare in French or Japanese.

Isn't the best way to study a particular message, to study it in the language it was originally conceived and spoken in?

Ain't something always lost in translation?

Then why dost thou make thee hither and sayest thee thou that the Olde Latine can give ye truth?

Nay, surely the original is always the beste in bringing thee the truth to for.

Verily I say to ye, it is so!
