Shalom, Shalema, Sh'lema, Peace,
i am a newbie here, and am quite interested in the Aramaic Issues of the New Covenant. i am Jewish, been a Meshichi (Messianic) for a little over a year. i have been learning all sorts of wonderful things about our mutual Messiah. i am not a greek primacist nor hebrew primacist when it comes to the New Covenant writings. i am familiar with Hebrew and Aramaic (from On'kelos in my chumash), though it may not be the same dialect, but i can read the peshitta fairly well without really knowing how it may be pronounced
i'm not here to debate but to observe and learn. i have become quite a fan of Younan's works on this site, and refer to it quite often in my personal studies. and before anyone offers yes, i have seen those sites as well heheh. i look around. i have been working on a translation/interpretation from my own personal studies, and not for publication by any means. and though many would disagree, i do compare it with the Greek Textus Receptus (1590?), but not as the main source, for that, i use the khaburis codex (thanks to Younan) and the western BBS 1905 peshitto (AESV site). so i will probably be asking questions in relation to these things, and i may not post them in the proper forum space, but it will at least look like it
don't mind me, i'm goofy, and i do not easily take offense nor do i give a fence
