The situation of Iraqi Christians is very heartbreaking and with the recent murder of the Chaldean Catholic Archbishop Paulos Faraj Rahho of Mosul, it doesn't look like it's going to improve anytime soon. May Jesus The Christ watch over and protect them.

It seems that the people of Beith Nahren are destined to be thrown out of their countries and homes.

Take for example in Lebanon before the 1975 war, Christians were 70% of the population, and now they're 40% of the population; worldwide (including Lebanon) they are 3 times the population size of
Non-Christians.

The benefit of leaving our homeland is a double edged sword. When we make it to Western countries we feel a sense of safety and security, but at the same time we begin to assimilate into western cultures which destroys our identity and heritage.

Each time I read about the horrific incidents that are happening in Iraq, I'm left speechless at the barbarism of these criminals.
