Keeping up with the weekly lectionary readings I've posted John 1:1-18 collated among 5 extant Aramaic texts (the Peshitta, Curetonian, and the 3 CPA Lectionaries) with individual translations.

What is the significance of alah not being emphatic here? Could it be translated as divine as some translate the Greek text?

Is this the MS from CE 1030?

An inscription in the MS copied by Assemani, half of which is now lost, says that it was written by the Presbyter Elias of Abbud, in the Monastery of the Abbot Moses in the city of Antioch (of the Arabs), in the year 1341 of Alexander=AD 1030.
