Parsopa - bar_khela - 03-11-2004

Akh Paul,

What exactly is a parsopa?

- Paul Younan - 03-11-2004

Shlama Akhi bar-Khela,

A Parsopa is a person in the physical sense. You and I are considered Parsope...."people."

The Incarnation of Meshikha is also spoken of in the sense of being a "Parsopa", because he became incarnate and like one of us.

We never speak of God in terms of "Parsopa."

Can you point out an example from the Peshitta?

- Paul Younan - 03-13-2004

Luqa 10:1 Wrote:Now after these things Yeshua appointed seventy others, and sent them two-by-two before his Parsopa to all regions and cities that he was about to go.

The word literally means "face", and figuratively means "person."
