Akhay,

Please refrain from discussions that have nothing to do with the purpose of this website. It's a waste of my disk space and bandwidth. Especially posts that insult others will not be tolerated.

I know I haven't been around much recently for obvious reasons, but I logged on the other day and was blown away by the junk present here.

Aramaic linguistics, proofs, etc. - that's ok. Nothing else, alright? No theology, no bashing of other religions or each other, etc.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Hey Paul. Thats cool with me. You can delete the 'Deano' topic as well that I put up because I have found him to be alive again [for the time being].

Sadly Paul, many questions I ask in this forum to do with the Peshitta Tanakh are just not answered when I reckon that we owe it to the Peshitta to answer them. Even if one believes that the old covenant is cancelled by the new, or if you don't, or whatever, I think we owe it to Aramaic studies to analyse this document too. Christ made obvious references to it so he obviously thought it was worth something, no? [the OT in general that is]

And also, even if the PTanakh is a translation of an earlier text, it is still way way better than the MT, which so many people think is 'the best' simply because it is the official text of Judaism. Does this make sense to you?

Thanks
