Shlama Akhay,

Here's a comparison of the American Standard Version with Lamsa and Murdock's translations.

1Jo 3:20 (ASV)- because if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

(Lamsa)- For if our hearts condemn us, how much more, then, will God who is greater than our hearts and knows all things?

(Murdock)- But if our heart condemneth us, how much greater is God than our heart, and knowing all things?

The Greek text makes a statement and the Aramaic text asks a question!

Skipping down a few verses to 1st John 3:24...

1Jo 3:24 (ASV)- And he that keepeth his commandments abideth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he gave us.

(Murdock)- And he that keepeth his commandments, is kept by him, and he dwelleth in him: and by this we understand that he abideth in us, from his Spirit which he hath given to us.

(Lamsa)- Whosoever keeps his commandments will be guarded by him, and he will dwell in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit which he has given us.

Murdock might be a little more true-to-form with "keepeth / is kept" as opposed to Lamsa's "keeps / will be guarded". Both Aramaic words in the Peshitta text have 'nTr' as their root, {noon-teith-resh}
