Syriac peshitta reading- again - Manuel - 04-15-2015
Hi
I excuse for posting a topic I already asked some time ago, but anyway I always hope there could be something new.
Has anybody found a good cd or mp3 reading of the Peshitta New Testament or Psalms in syriac in order to learn the pronunciation well? (in Europe, at least where I live, there is no syriac community from which to learn).
I hoped to find something from the syriac music institute but it' always offline.

Mar Awa, a Church of the East Bishop, has recorded the Psalms in the Peshitta's Aramaic.

Try that, and if he doesn't respond, let me know and I can see if there might be a copy available at the Parish I go to. I think I saw some copies in their gift section in the hallway.

If you can't get in touch with him soon, as I know there is a lot going on right now, I see that Mar Yosip Parish in San Jose has two copies on Ebay. Maybe Shamasha Paul can confirm if these are in Aramaic of the Peshitta, or the modern Aramaic/Assyrian. I think it is the Peshitta's Aramaic.
