Film About Apostle Thaddeus Planned - aux - 12-27-2014 Hello, first time poster, long-time lurker <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s --> Sorry if this has been brought up before but I didn't see it and thought it should be of interest here, it's a press release about a planned movie about The Acts of Addai (Thaddeus) posted at <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.aina.org/ata/20141211170909.htm">http://www.aina.org/ata/20141211170909.htm</a><!-- m --> It gets into current day troubles with the terrorist crimes and murders committed by "ISIS" (nod to the Egyptian goddess of occult fame?). Also of worthy mention is the tie in with the "mandylion" or Image of Edessa, brought to King Abgar by Mar Addai for healing -- many think this image to be what is now known as the Shroud of Turin due to the work of Ian Wilson. I see at least one longtime member here is interested in the shroud judging by their icon (greetings Chuck). BTW, does anyone know the Church of the East's stance on the mandylion or Shroud of Turin, officially or not? Thanks!
