Paul,
What is the correct English translation of this verse, 1 Corinthians 12:3?
Specifically, is the word translated "Lord" the Aramaic word "MarYa" and is that word equivalent to the OT word YHWH? Should it be best translated as "Master YHWH", "Lord", or simply transliterated "MarYa"? Finally, is the word "Lord" found here the same word in verse 5?
I seem to remember a long while ago that we may have discussed that issue on this forum.

For accuracy, it would be best transliterated as 'Marya' or, if you wish, 'MarYa'. YHWH would be best suited as a rendering for any cases found in the Hebrew text, not Aramaic. The Jews had a long standing tradition not to speak or write the name in any language but Hebrew, which is why you never see the full name in any of the Aramaic portions of the Tanach, nor in the targums. Marya functions as the respectful substitute.
Yes, verse 5 contains the same Marya as is found in verse 3.

Yes, that is the equivalent in function (but not grammar) of the OT Name YHWH. It should simply be transliterated, as it comes across as awkward in English no matter how you translate it. It is most equivalent in function to LORD (in all caps).
Yes, it is the same word in verse 5.
