resh/dalat - IPOstapyuk - 05-18-2013

Luke 24:32 - And they said one to the other, Did not our hearts burn within us, while he spake with us by the way, and explained to us the scriptures ?
(Lamsa) Luke 24:32 - And they said one to another, Were not our hearts heavy within us, when he spoke with us on the road, and interpreted the scriptures to us?
Greek text has 'burning - kaiomenei'.
Khaboris has 'heavy'.

The difference between estrangelo resh and dalat is just one dot.
Looks to me that Greek translator mistook dalat instead of resh
and it appeared "yakad'- burning as in 1 Cor. 13:3
dqy vs.
rqy
Logically more correct form is heavy since Jesus called their hearts heavy
Luke 24:25 0bl Yryqyw 0ny9r Yrysx w0 .(w4y Jwhl
(Lamsa) Luke 24:25 - Then Jesus said to them, O dull-minded heavy-hearted, slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken.
I am not good at grammar, so somebody should check the above.

Re: resh/dalat - Havah - 05-25-2013

I can't find any differences between Resh/Dalath in Ktav Ivri.
Their pronunciation is also similar (flap vs plosive). <!-- s8) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/cool.gif" alt="8)" title="Cool" /><!-- s8) -->
