Hebrews 4:12 sword or knife? - distazo - 11-17-2010 Is it possible that the root-word for 'sword' (sefira) also could be translated to 'knife?' Especially because a two-edged sword, seems an unnecessary detail as all swords in those days, had two edges. Knifes, however, still today, can have two sides, or a single side. What's your thought about this? I found this blog about the origin of the word. http://www.balashon.com/2006/04/sefira.html |
