You are correct. In fact, no extant and complete New Testament either Aramaic or Greek has survived from before the fifth century to my knowledge. A small portion of the Gospel of John has survived extant (P52, John 18:31-33,37-38, circa 125 A.D.) To my knowledge this is the earliest extant portion of the New Testament. Also, the Greek New Testament was not canonized till the late fourth century. The Book of Revelation was the last book to be added to the western canon. No one knows for sure when precisely the 22 book Peshitta new Testament was consolidated. However, it is believed to have been consolidated in the second half of the first century, during the same time period that the Greek New Testament books claim authorship. Some believe that the Gospels were the first to have been delivered to the founding fathers of the Assyrian Church of the East, followed by the Acts of the Apostles and the epistles of Paul the Apostle.
