On page 83, Grant writes that he receives personal testimony from the Assyrian Christians (incorrectly called Nestorians) that the Western Five were not in the Peshitta Canon, and were given to them by Asahel Grant's Protestant mission. I'll add more interesting details to this and subsequent posts as I continue my reading.
On page 159, I'm well into the identity of the places mentioned in II Kings 17:6. The Kabouris Codex is named after the Khabor River. <!-- s
